This blog is like Esquire's 'Funny* joke from a beautiful woman' where * implies that not everyone would find this joke funny. The only difference is that its a true incident and also is about beautiful women (blondes actually). For a change, the joke is not on blondes. Quite the opposite. Its on a dark haired, dark, short guy with a dark mustache. And did I say he is a brainy MBA from a top ranked school. Lets call him Homer to protect the identity. BTW, all main characters of Saransh are taking a break-sleeping actually. So, I am breaking the first (and only) rule established in the previous blog of not being family related. But rules are meant to be broken.
Anyways, coming back to our funny incident, this happened at a business lunch. We were 10-12 people sitting around a big table eating Thai food. Among them was Janice, a tall beautiful blonde in her late 40s who was our office manager and Catherine who was not-so-tall, beautiful blonde around the same age who was our corporate lawyer. In an attempt to have a good lunch time conversation, Homer asked Catherine why she did not have a website about her law firm on the Internet. As Catherine was about to reply, someone at the table blurted out teasing Homer "But what were you looking for on the Internet? You thought she would have her pictures?"
I was thinking to myself how could anyone have the temerity to say something so cheap. Homer probably thought the same too. And with a dying urge to say something witty replied, "Why would I look up Catherine's picture on the Internet? If I wanted to, I would look up for Janice's."
